The first gathering or "rally" of RV2WaySat group members was in early 2003 in Gila Bend, AZ. It was held in a truck parking lot, with dry camping only available and all presentations were held outdoors, where it was sometimes quite windy. It was also nearly impossible to see any overhead slides presented.

The second rally was held in the same location, with the same issues: too bright to see the presentations, too cold and/or windy part of the time, and no power for using our satellite dishes. So, at the end of the rally, it was decided by members that the next rally would be held down the street at Augie's Quail Trail RV park.

The previous host of the rally was no longer associated with the group or the rally and we were on our own! But, due to the efforts of a lot of folks and the generous cooperation of the staff at Augie's, the 2005 and 2006 rallies were a big success, with up to 90 rigs and more than 150 people in attendance.

The 2007 rally, also held at Augie's, was the largest gathering ever, attended by over 200. It was huge success!

However, in 2008 there was no rally held. No one was willing to take on the responsibilities of organizing a rally.

Will there be a 2009 rally? Volunteers are needed, to make this happen!
